You probably did not configure your fonts, so FOP falls back to the default base-14 ones: please follow this link to learn how to configure custom fonts: http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/0.20.5/fonts.html#custom BTW, you may want to give a try to the latest 0.93 version...
