I will join this request, BUT codepage conversion would be of extreme help too. It would be very convenient, if I can set the file encoding (per project) and have every file automatically converted from that encoding to Windows locale on file-open and back to encoding set on file-close.
E.g. in Russia I often have server with KOI8-R and I edit scripts on Windows with CP1251. The best way would be to have files on disk in KOI8-R (so I can easily copy them to and from server), and edit them in CP1251 (as most of docs, help and other files are in this codepage).
