Actually you use the term optional twice. The main problem I see with this is how to implement it. I know the suggestion was to wait 0.5 seconds but then that would be to quick for some so Jan would also have to put in an option for the waiting period. There is also the problem with the many different ways PSPad can select text. Double click a word to select the word, click the gutter to select the line. Then there's the drag selected text feature. To enable the auto copy he would have to disable s few other features in my opinion.
