Could we search and replace for \n (new line)?

E.g.,
replace the following:
aString
bString
cString
with:
aString,bString,cString

I tried in the replace dialog:
Find: \n (also tried \r)
Replace: ,
Regular Expressions: checked
New line format: tried Unix, DOS and Mac

Got: Next occurrence of "\n" (or "\r") not found.

I think this function is commonly used.

Even the description of \s is [\t\n\r\f] but \s can only search for spaces.(?)

Thanks,
Troy
