I have been using PSPad at home for a long time and just recently have run into trouble. When I start PSPad, I get a dialog box that says Error in the title and has the little red circle with the X in it and the error message is:
Line: 0 Pos: 0 Description: I get two dialog boxes and then PSPad lets me get to work. I tried removing the program and reinstalling and the problem is still there. I ran Process Monitor from Sysinternals on pspad.exe to see if I could narrow it down and when the dialog pops up, the last entry in Process Monitor reads: RegOpeKey HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CTF\KnownClasses NAME NOT FOUND Desired Access: Read I checked with regedit and the key does not exist. IF I add the key and run again, it still complains and Process Manager shows HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CTF\KnownClasses\TButton is not found. This is as far as I have taken it so far. Not sure if I am on the right path or not. So, what is causing PSPad to display the dialog? What is supposed to be in the registry? I am running PSPad 4.5.3 (2298) and Windows Vista SP1. I sure would hate to have to reinstall Windows just to fix this seemingly small issue. Thanks, Plisskin -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,47635,47635> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
