I am using PSPad v 4.5.4 I have noticed (what appear to be) some minor bugs/issues with PSPad, although nothing on this list is critical. Apologies if any have been mentioned before:
When creating a new file (Ctrl+N) the selected format/extension type is selected in a very light, hard-to-see colour on a white background. If one scrolls down, or clicks on a format, the selected type shows up in dark blue. I think it should be dark blue to begin with, making it easy for users to see quickly what is preselected and hit enter. New tabstops are deleted upon saving. That is to say, if one creates a new line and hits tab, then saving will delete the new tabspace and place the cursor back at the beginning of the line. If one has some text in quotation marks, "for example," then the opening quotation mark is not word-wrapped with the rest of the first word. It stays on the first line, while the rest of the word moves to the second. Also regarding word-wrap, a single character will appear simultaneously on the first line after the right margin, and on the line below, until a further character is typed (is this expected behaviour?) Alt+tab behaviour does not seem consistent with Windows, in that it requires two presses, rather than one, to switch windows. (But then, some other programmes occasionally display similar brhaviour.) An asterisk (*) at the beginning of one line prompts an asterisk at the beginning of a newly created line, even when NOT inside a comment. (Is this expected behaviour?) Finally, congratulations to Jan on a very versatile text editor. PSPad is very enjoyable to work with. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,54282,54282> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
