chuckf: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I search a file for something that is not present, find leaves me at the top of the file. Is this the expected behavior? I would expect to return to the last cursor location. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the only problem I have with PSPad's search. I can't think of any reason why I would want my cursor moved from its pre-search position if there are no results. It only occurs in a particular scenario for me: when I check "Direction Forward" or "Direction Backward" (both of which then show the "Continue from Beginning/End of File" dialogue, after which I am left at the top or bottom of the file if the search fails. Search operates correctly when "Direction Entire Scope" is selected -- which is to say that my cursor is not moved from its pre-search position. This is how search should operate under all options under Direction in the Find dialog. Jan, can you position the cursor back to it's pre-search location for each Direction selection?
