I can get PSPad to crash consistently by opening a file with very long lines. This might be a sql dump, minified JavaScript or even sometimes some really bad html that was probably written by an application or script.
But knowing that this is probably going to happen, I simply open the file in another editor (Notepad++ works fine), do what I have to do with it and go back to PSPad. The occasional crash when I forget (and there are some other times) is not nearly enough reason for me to change from a great editor that I've modified to suit my development methods and used exclusively for several years. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,53090,56411> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
