Has anyone had experience of using cables longer than 18inches between host and device? We have an application where the chassis does not allow the use of 18inch cables. We are connecting to DVD devices and do not require the highest data rates (mode 2 is probably fast enough), we are also only going to have a single device on the bus. The furthest device may require a 36inch cable. Are there any references that we could use to qualify the cables for use upto a particular data rate? Has anyone already done some kind of qualification that we could use?
