Of course, since REZERO UNIT doesn't actually do anything today (i.e. they would be there just for interface compatibility), I'd just map it to NOP in ATA. Digging now, I'm reminded ... Some see the once-optional Ata op x10 Recalibrate as analogous to Scsi op x01 Rezero Unit. 1993 Scsi-2 9.2 Commands for direct-access devices technically classifies Scsi op x01 as "optional", but some implementation traditions do not respect this wish. And the once-optional Ata op xE1 IdleImmediate doesn't work well as a substitute because of the weight of power management traditions that interfere with the plain meaning of that op. Accordingly, some preferred the once-mandatory Ata op x70 Seek as a substitute for x10 Recalibrate.
