Thanks for the suggestions. To answer a couple of the questions asked: The person asking for help seems to think only the MBR has been corrupted/deleted and that his partition and data are really still on the disk. I don't know why this person thinks that. I don't know the technical level of this person either. I don't know what events caused the MBR (or the partiton, etc) to "disappear".
