James,
Sometimes I go "private" after a couple of reflector emails because the
original question gets sent on 20 different tangents and most people no
longer remember the original question. Case in point, last week someone
asked about a command for updating FW on devices. Suddenly there was
conversations of secret societies and whether or not T13 was even necessary
anymore followed by "why are we discussing this anyway on this forum
anyway?". So I sent a private email to the person saying what I knew about
the original question which was try "Download Microcode" and talk to the
various vendors for more details on that command and as far as I knew, you
didn't need to join a secret society to get support on it. I suppose this
will set off some debates on what the purpose of this forum is and I will
most likely get told I don't know anything. Oh well, I answered your
question as I see it and by next week I will have a better understanding of
what the T13 reflector is really for. Hopefully I will get an application
to join the secret society as well.
PS: I didn't send this private!
chuckles,
gary laatsch
