Of course another question to ask here is this: What is an ATA or
ATAPI device and when should it conform to the standards? I'm
thinking those "memory card"-to-ATA "bridge" things that are out
there. The actual storage device is not an ATA device, it may not
have any kind of unique ID data, it is plugged into a "bridge" thing
so that it looks like an ATA device, but it is really the "bridge"
thing that is emulating the ATA ID command... What ID data does the
"bridge" thing make up?
