Mike,
        I held back from jumping into this fray because it is limited to my
experience but my comments concur 100% with yours. I would feel that the
vendor was not taking responsibility for keeping their processes and
capabilities current. Possibly time to look for a new vendor or to remind
this one that they have a duty to their customers to keep current with
industry accepted norms. I know that I made this threat approx. 4 - 5 years
ago when a vendor could not handle 274X, they got new CAM software with 274X
support inside of a week.
