Danial,
I have a very similar computer set up like yours, I have not found the
network to slow Protel down, but have found conflicting design rules will,
too many overlapping design rules, will and also slow the system down
.......also try this turn off the solder mask layers when viewing. I
would review your design rules and try to simplify them. Also might want
to hide nets gnd, vcc or any larger plane connected nets.
