I am using the most *battery hungry* laptop, Vaio; but i don`t even have any problem regarding battery issue for Ubuntu. Now don't tell me that binary-only-drivers are culprit here. One of my friend is teaching computer to her grandmother and there she ( grandmother) started her learning with Ubuntu 7.10. One day, she sat infront of a Windows XP machine and totally refuse to use that because of her so called "black and white type screen". And of stability, Linux and Mac also crash often. Linux distros crashes often???? Are you out of your mind? What did you run in your linux box?? That's a marketing policy.
