I'll not put more efforts on extending this thread. But, again, please back up when you say "No problem anymore". I myself use nvidia drivers on my laptop. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=nvidia-kernel-source;dist=unstable And that's just one distro. Check more yourself. And feature wise, linux drivers for nvidia (binary-only) are still far from complete compared to Windows. As for nv, it can't even TwinView. Nouveau has great promises.
