I viewed the picture of the flickr link and my first opinion is that
interface looks cool to  me.
I think the problems OLPC is facing right now may be the incrementing
price of the laptop and reluctant nature of some nations to adopt it.
It was meant to be used for $100 but now reports are saying the price
may go upto $200. And other thing is that XO (OLPC) and Classmate
(Intel) have divided the whole tech industry. There are corporations
backing Classmate PCs like Microsoft and on the other hand Google,
Redhat, News Corporation, etc. are backing OLPC.
Since the bottom line is to provide children with cheap and the most
productive laptop, I really dont mind if OLPC is running on XP, Linux
or even Mac. The only thing OLPC is striving is the ability to
decrease the end cost of the project. In  my opinion, projects like
this should not divide the industry rather there should be
collaboration between Linux and/or Open Source community and Mircosoft
backed community.
