Let me clear you dude. I've been a hardcore linux user since 3 years. There are a lot of difficulties you can't override. In near future, i'm sure that you'll be in such big trouble. the first trouble would be software you might wanna try. Talking about graphics and sound.. which graphics do you like the most.. the desktop wallpaper? or the button.. If you think compiz is your point then your are right in some part. But your 3d and flashy desktop won't let you perform any of your project to be done. As i know, linux don't have the best Sound system architechture (still needs a lot to be done with ALSA). Bargain your OS with application. speaking fairly i hate that serial... cuz it has very less to do with truth, who say's openoffice.org (calc) is better than microsoft excel? it's better to analyze before speaking. lasstly, Let me know some good points of linux from your test.
