Hello all, Today group of guys, actually 3 of them from ASCOL up at BVS training center with requests of including them to the LTSP TOT, because of lack of experience in Linux, I had to softly turn them away. Though it didnt feel right to do so, because it was not there mistake. At that very moment something that struck me was, there are loads of people who want to learn about Linux, or lets say just get started on it and since we have a training center, we at FOSS nepal should take the initiative to cater to these people by organizing either 2-3 full day training or may be 4-5 day 4 hrs a day training to get them introduced them to Linux and OSS in general. It doesnot have to be free, we could charge them some very minimum amount to cover the cost of trainer and training center.
Lets think about it and take some good steps, so that next time students who have great interest in FOSS are not turned away from some training due to their lack of knowledge. Our purpose is to educate people about FOSS and now we have a great oppurtunity to do that practically too with the new training center. So shakar, Ankur and all lets plan some regular training and teach about FOSS practically too along with the theory and awareness campaign that we do.
