Inexperienced? I have no hard feeling but minimum requirement for the applicant is not well mentioned and "in search for technical manpower" is not enough. You could have posted a simple online exam for eligibility test with the basic question on linux and technical experties that is required to attain the training. In this way you could have given the selected candidate "time for a review" and for inexperienced a question to query...
