Hi Ranendra, Sandeep While I am writing this mail, the training we are talking about might have been started already, but I want to clear the confusions or misunderstandings that might have been taking place. Before I begin, I would like to tell you that I am not in the organizing or selecting team of LTSP ToT. I am writing this mail on the basis of what I have read in the discussions in this list.
After i got your mail, I read again "the call for application" and what shhishir wrote in the thread "Welcom ravi". Shishir wrote: "......................because of lack of experience in Linux, I had to softly turn them away.............". And the "call for application for LTSP ToT" says: "................However, unlike last year we are trying to target specifically those user groups who have some prior experience of using Linux as opposed to complete tyros. This decision is partly the outcome of last year's training experience where majority of time was consumed by training the participants about Linux rather than LTSP.........." So, Shishir's point seems valid. BUT it would have been better if it went through the process of application->selection->notification. Guys, this is not the only event from FOSS Nepal Community. We can organize and take part in several events of this kind if we need. And don't take yourself as "junior". At the point you enter into(and share the philosophy of) the community, you are of the same level as everyone in the community. No "seniors" and no "juniors". Please feel free to discuss more. It's your forum.
