Then start learning from what you fear! Data loss? I rather worry
about data loss in windows and there are many different data backup
tools.

harddisk is like a moving mechanical fan that does 5000-7000 round per
minute inside that little 2'.5'', and if you can visualize that in
minute order and how even a small speck of dust/obstacle, disk r/w
head  bounces etc can corrupt your data or with mechanical wear n
tear.

So, when one knows this much and misses a backup then one deserves to
get screwed!

Remember to change your hdd every 3-5 years and do not trust your hdd
