Subir dai, there have only been informal preparations, so I was thinking of postponing the event for a week, to next weekend. > - How long is Nama jee staying here? Is the proposed date already > fixed or do we need/have some more time to prepare? Since he's mentioned till first week of September, and won't actually be here for Jul 16, this makes even more sense. > - Also need to decide about the venue Any suggestions? I was thinking about 20 people with a good WiFi connection. Indeed. Like I said, however, I would like the first event not to be broadcasted to everyone under the sun. There is no way anywhere close to the population at IOE could be handled, because I want to make at least the last half of the session highly interactive. Perhaps 20 people or so? We can make a Fb event I'm sure though. > - Not sure about any costs associated with the event or perhaps any > organization willing to support it Any ideas? Jwalanta and I may approach HLCIT/OTRC, but we are not sure of acceptance. I'm not sure how much this would cost anyways. > I'll have some time to dedicate for its preparations later this week, > Thursday and/or Friday. Do let me know if we could do something on > one/both of those days. We'll also need to get other people, already > working on OSM, in the loop soon. Alright, in sum, I want to go for organizing this event next weekend if possible. If Hempal dai, Subir dai, perhaps Nama dai, and others from FOSS that are interested could join me at the Cafe Cuppas in Putalisadak (opposite Century Bank--or propose another venue of your choice) tomorrow (thursday) at 5pm (just proposing, I'm free 3 onwards tomorrow), we could do some detailed planning.
