i was just curious : was there any reason of not using the nlp.ku.edu.np and instead doing english > hindi> nepali translation on the first hand ? Because i think there is some error level related to each translation. english > hindi = x propability of error,, and hindi > nepali = y probability of error.. so total error in this approach would be x+y which wouild be greater than doing direct english > nepali translation.
[i assume eng > nep translator at nlp.ku.edu.np is open source, and using existing environment would help existing tool be more mature] On Tue, Jul 26, 2011 at 9:57 PM, Rajesh Pandey <[email protected]>wrote: > Dear all > I have been creating a Nepali Translator in .NET in > http://nepaliwikipediatranslator.googlecode.com > since there wasn't any Google translator for Nepali language. > There were couple of other translators such as nlp.ku.edu.np that I knew > while I was in Kathmandu University. > I wanted to work extensively on it and after several months I got what I > wished it to be. > > I have kept the code as open source so that anyone could contribute on it > or use the application for translation. > > However I would like to create a non .NET application.
