Dear all, These are few things Sushil have asked to discuss in the meeting regarding the website. But the meeting decided to take this to the mailing list.
1) Develop the website as the only stopping point for informations regarding FOSS Nepal. 2) The website Forums to be used for all purposes concerning FOSS Nepal. 3) Currently there are two types of users in the Forum, general users and admins, the admins should be chosen. 4) The website lacks content, content needs to be developed. 5) The content(News, Events, etc.) management can be done by privileged users, the users needs to be identified(they can be called as supervisors). 6) The domain of the FOSS Nepal website (fossnepal.herokuapp.com) to be shifted to www.fossnepal.org. If the website is to be hosted from heroku, the official FOSS Nepal heroku account must be created. 7) The facebook pages, twitter handles, irc channels and e-mails needs to be managed so that it makes some sense putting those buttons in the website. 8) I have planned to use mailchimp as the newsletter client and mandrill as the e-mail client, an official FOSS Nepal account must be established there. 9) I don't see many people helping in the development of the website, i know the ruby on rails is new, but we can help each other, if anyone is interested.
