@OpenThito: Being one of the community whose primary focus is on softwares, i think having our own forums, mailing list and newsletter will make us independent in every aspect.
The wiki content are too old, i think most of the contents must be re-written. The facebook doesn't provide anything like group-button to show that we are on facebook. So, having a facebook page would be great. @acpmasquerade: I am more of developer than a designer and i tend to use the twitter-bootstrap for easy designing... if you could help in the design, it would be of much help, the stylesheets are located inside app/assets/stylesheets and javascripts inside app/views/javascripts.
