The server sent back something that the client didn't understand. You're running the latest fossil, right? What OS? Did you compile it yourself or use one of the prebuild downloads? Have you tried running it again? I've done the above several times without problems. If the problem persists, try adding the "-- httptrace" option and saving the copious output that is generated. That will give us a clue as to what is going wrong. D.
