An inefficiency in cloning large repositories has been fixed by
http://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/ci/7646ee13e34f6aad3dec3787968b1c29d87ea6e5
After the fix above, fossil will clone the 10-year SQLite respository
with about 12MB of file transfer. This is not too bad when you
consider that the CVS respository weighed in at about 320MB!
New pre-compiled fossil binaries have been built and uploaded. I have
enabled cloning by anonymous users on the SQLite repository now.
IMPORTANT: Please use the latest fossil binaries when cloning.
Otherwise you will use hundreds of megabytes of bandwidth instead of
just 12MB.
BTW, renamed the CGI script for the SQLite fossil repository. You can
now find it at
http://www.sqlite.org/src/
