Just curious, but what was the reason again that nobody shouldn't get the history setting? I can see that it might allow spiders to crawl the whole source tree and maybe download Zips but was there any other motivation?
I ask because most of the panzies who use my stuff come from github where there's not as many features so they just turn everything on and let the bots crawl. These programmers then consider any kind of anonymous login as crushing their creative soul and harshing the hippie buzz.
