FWIW, it all seemed to go bad for merge5* with this:

Subject: [fossil-users] V1.24 make test
Hi,
Building v1.24 from source on Linux 2.6.20-15-server i686 GNU/Linux, and
running the test suite, I get some failures:
Failures: merge5-72 merge5-90 merge5-135 merge5-140 merge5-141 merge5-142
th1-tcl-1 th1-tcl-2 th1-tcl-3 th1-tcl-4 th1-tcl-5 th1-tcl-6 th1-tcl-7 th1-tcl-8
th1-tcl-9
I'm guessing the th1-tcl-* errors can be ignored because tcl isn't found, or is
up-to-date enough (I have 8.4 on this box). No problem. Seems like it's
either working as intended, or not applicable to my environment.
But I'm a little concerned about the merge5-* errors. Any idea what they mean,
and what, if anything, I can do to address the issues?
Thanks!
-Clark
