This, unfortunately, kinda makes it probably a bad idea for the purposes
for which I asked for some help.  On the other hand, I would like to
help accelerate development of this functionality, and if I can do so by
testing I will try to find time to do so.  I'll just do so separately
from the team access I need to provide right now.  Maybe I can use it
for some work done strictly within the network, if there's no chance
(more than usual) that it'll screw up the repositories I'm using.  If
there is some increased chance of that, I might set up some toy
repositories just for purposes of testing stuff.

Thanks for the help.  Your comment in another thread (to which I will
reply shortly) actually describes what I will probably do for the
distributed team's needs, for now.
