i think we end up using them in email (pasted links) more than anything
else. i use them from the CLI occasionally, but probably 90%+ of such uses
has something to do with the dev of fossil or libfossil, where i'm working
with raw artifact data, so they "don't really count." In other source trees
i rarely need the UUIDs... i'm trying to think of an instance and no recent
ones comes to mind.
