Haiku didn't come into existence until 2001, but maybe you were
running BeOS back then.  Seeing as Haiku's goal was to recreate BeOS
R5 plus have enhancements, they should seem quite similar.  But yeah,
Pe should work just fine.

Very good, I will send you a link before I go to sleep with a nightly
image I compiled and then made some mild changes to (like disabling
the default Tracker behavior to open every folder in its own window).
I'll share it with Andy as well in case he wants to dig into it
himself as well.  I'll provide more details in that email off list.
