+1: no ambiguity problem and no unconventional file prefix.

So, I guess the consensus is for an –f type flag.  Fine then.  However, I would 
expect the switch –f to appear either before or after (not only before), as it 
is a modifier to the main argument, in this case the filename, and not a 
parameterized option to the main argument (like –width num, for example, where 
the argument has to follow the option name).
