I'm usually running something close to trunk tip if not that very check-in as Fossil self-hosting repo and also on the SQLite site. You can always see which version of fossil is running on those sites by looking at the footer at the bottom of every page. Generally speaking, you should be safe running whatever the Fossil website itself is running. -- D.
