While it may not be used as a determining factor in deciding between Git and Fossil, it most certainly is a confusing factor for people who have never used a pager before. I cannot recall how many times I have had to tell people that to exit the pager they can press q. Or how many times I have had to tell them that they cannot use the mouse to scroll through the output because the pager doesn't work that way.
