Pedro,
I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but maybe this will help. The way I
prefer to access the Foxboro remotely for my self is to first start up an
XWindows session (like VT100) and then open a second Remote DM screen. I start
these by doing the following:
1. Start up an XWindows session on the Foxboro logged in as root. Set this up
by doing the following:
Have your /usr/fox/customer/hi/dmcfg file configured for a user and make sure
that user name is entered into the /etc/hosts file.
Go to /opt/ia and copy the .profile file to another file name (say go.user).
Run the chmod command on the go.user file to make it executable. In the go.user
file, find the line that says REM_STATION= and use the editor to replace the
text that comes after the = with the user name that appears in both the
/etc/hosts and dmcfg files.
Go to the Exceed XSTART program and fill the dialog box in with the appropriate
information. For better or worse, we use the following settings:
Start Method: REXEC (TCP/IP)
Program Type: XWindow
User ID: root (you should be able to also use ia, but some times the rights
are not correct)
Password: enter the root password (or if you use ia, use the correct password
for it)
Host: the IP address of the Sun station
Command: /usr/openwin/bin/xterm -display user:0.0 & (user is the name in
host file)
2. Start up the Remote Display Manager
Using the VT100 like window, cd to /opt/ia
type the following: nohup go.user & (this will start the Remote DM &
keep VT100 open)
Regards,
Neil Martin

OK, thank you.
But I'd like to access thru the X window manager (green-blue Sun screen) and
not thru telnet!
Regards
Pedro
