Wait a minute...athletes can get sponsors, charities can get sponsors, olympic hopefuls can get sponsors...
Can't we consider ourselves athletic, charitable, olympian artists?????????????? Now, I just need to figure out who to market that idea to so I can go to some (or all) of the wonderful events around the country and the world. Not being indepently wealthy and knowing how lots of people don't travel far is one of the reasons I started the jams in 2004 (originally once a month at my house), now "Jams Around The Bay" is 4x month in different cities around the Bay Area of Northern CA. Then I had the Learn & Play convention last year and it was so much fun (yeah, I know, you are waiting for the next Learn & Play date). I know people like Marcela, Cindy, myself and others who put on these workshops and conventions work our little (or in my case - big) tushies off. I do encourage everyone to go to your local jams (or even not so local). Go to the workshops. Go to the conventions. Purchase the books, the magazines, the products. Without all the people in this industry who put their life savings on the line for all of us, none of us would be as good as we are today. There is no "I" in "TEAM".
