>> I also like the idea of collecting e-mails and sending the photos to
the person directly, or posting it on a website.

It does two jobs in one. Not only makes the most of being able to provide a
lasting memory of the event, the occasion and your services, it also provides a
great reason for them to give you something truly valuable ... their email
address.

As I'm sure (I hope!) you know .... your 'list' (of suspects, prospects and
clients) is THE most valuable asset you have.

>> The only thing is to make sure that the e-mail you have matches correctly

This has already been addressed, but yes, no need IF you use the online method.
They simply go and spot theirs and download it themselves. It also means they
get to see the other faces you photographed that day. Now this can be great ...
as it acts as a brilliant promo and does have some negatives. I wouldn't leave
these pages there permanently ... so you can always email the parents and put a
deadline on it.

With a small party where it were possible to take notes I prefer sending the
photos individually by email (but you cannot make a mistake!).

>> I have sent a couple photos to moms who didn't have a camera handy and they
>> were thankful for it.  I didn't charge anything as there were
only one or two. So would you charge at the time they write their e-
mail down?

Of course not. Thye are giving something more valuable. It's an exchange, a win
/ win.

>> Would you clear it with the company/event you are working for that you will
>> be offering this service and charging the customers directly?

No as I wouldn't even think about charging, that's mean. This is a gift. Don't
think about it as a money spinner, think of it as after service that'll get you
incresed bookings, a fan club, clients for life.

However, you may have to discuss the email collection with whoever booked you,
depending upon your arrangements. I have, on occasions, branded the download
page and given further propmotion to the client (for Family Fun Days,
Promotions etc).
