The US Diamond FX distributor Elena Bonifaz did make a statement/reply to
Gary's post. Maybe she will reply again.

am I the only one who's put off by the fact that Diamond and/or Wolfe have
not put out a public statement about what's going on?

I mean there's all this speculation...everyone's talking about it pretty much
world wide....why not just come out and make an official statement?

    Absolutely!!
I do it to protect my company and bottom line. If another painter uses
inferior products (meaning non-FDA compliant, craft paint, etc.) or
has shoddy hygiene in their booth, their practices can affect my
business. If their work is inferior, that can affect my bottom line.
I'm not going to go into details about what one can do to combat this
situation. (That's a WHOLE other thread.) I'm saying that it's easier
if the situation doesn't exist in the first place. Period.

I worked for a wedding expo for years and had to deal with competitors
being put into one room. It's not fun. The b*tching and complaining
that went on....(eye roll). We had conditions on almost EVERY DJ and
Photography contract about "not wanting to be X amount of feet from Y
company" or "not in line-of-sight". It was a nightmare designing the
layouts, but we did it. Many a time I had to break out my contractors
tape measure to double check distance or confirm distance with a
ruffled client. A few individuals were banned from our shows because
they would intentionally antagonize other vendors.
Convention and expo shows require a HUGE amount of work. Cynthia and
Marcela are to be congratulated for the events they've produced over
the years, both together and separate. The time, work, sweat,
headaches and sleepless nights paid-off and gave those of us attending
their conventions the memories of a lifetime.
    Thank you dear ladies!
