Yes.

At least Debian does it on three ARM flavours (armel = ARM EABI, armhf
= ARMv7 with hardware floating point support, and arm64 = ARM 64 Bit

Hrm, you could have a look into the build logs linked on the above
page under the word "installed" and see which compiler options and
dependencies were used.

I just ckecked: It works for me on at least armel and armhf. I don't
have access to an arm64 machine at the moment.
