There are several areas of concern, not the least of which is the flooding in the
homes and destruction of property in the homes below Doeskin 2. With each rainstorm
we have the problem seems to become worse despite the developer moving huge piles of
dirt and large rocks around the property - from one side to the other and, seemingly
in some cases, back again. These piles of rocks/dirt sitting above their homes are
making the abutters more than a little concerned.

Of concern to parents (and grandparents) should be the pit on the property just above
these homes - I think it could be referred to as an attractive nuisance. And a
deadly one if some youngster should fall in. I'm told there is a roughly 8x8 ft hole
(not sure how deep) that apparently has a couple of feet of standing water in the
bottom. It is covered with green slime so it is difficult to see the bottom thru it.
The site is posted for no trespassing but I've yet to see that keep kids from
exploring.

In addition, at a time when we are all being warned to keep water from accumulating
so as to not provide mosquito breeding areas, we seem to have our own West Nile virus
breeding pond there.

This developer has a long history of ignoring town rules and regs and not building
things to plans ( the 25 ft wall is only one recent example). A discussion of
whether or not to consider an 81W hearing to rescind or modify the approval for
Doeskin 2 is on the Planning Board's agenda for Tuesday night at 9:30. It is a
difficult time of the year to attend meetings but I know the neighbors would
appreciate any support from their TMM's and others who could be there. Maybe it
would be useful to have the meeting taped (if not live)?

Thanks.
