Norma (and others) - I think the Harting, Beers and Goodman families would appreciate all the support they can get - if you can attend the meeting I'm sure they will feel less lonely than they've felt over the past several years. Just before a summer holiday is a difficult time to squeeze in yet another activity but they and their families feel as they've had little support in the past while trying to protect their property.
I have always understood when talking to Jerry Harting and Don Beers that they were not trying to prevent the homes from being built. What they have repeated over and over was a request for an approved plan showing how the stormwater drainage, erosion control, etc would be managed so as not to impact their property and to have that plan followed. That never happened. More recently they have added to that a request for an independant, qualified review of plans to make sure that they would be effective in managing these problems. Now they are trying to manage the fall-out. We keep dealing with this development moving from one problem to the next. The town has seemingly given him one chance after another to do things the right way and then we seem surprised when one more problem comes along. It seems long overdue to deal with the entire site and address all the issues with an 81W.
