To all concerned in and with the Planning Board hearing last night:
THANK YOU!
As one of the abutters most severely affected, I want to sincerely thank EVERYONE that
worked so hard, so late, and in such difficult times to begin a very important process
to make Doeskin 2 the beautiful, safe and well-designed sub-division that we all want
for the Town of Framingham. I will make a special effort to thank each of you
individually that gave of your valuable time and expertise to take this important
first step.
We all have learned the hard way that we have a recalcitrant developer who needs close
and strong supervision to do what he says he will do, to do it the right way the first
time, and to make it permanent. It is not appropriate to "fix" problems as they
occur, but to avoid them in the first place by proper planning, approvals, expertise
and implementation. The rules and regulations of what you can and cannot do are
clear, and the expertise to do it right are readily available. If he had done the
grading and drainage correctly at the outset to the Town of Framingham regulation in
force and to EPA regulations, it would have been CHEAPER, BETTER and FASTER for him,
and he would be building homes right now.
This is the beginning of a challenging process with a highly resistant developer
represented by a very effective attorney. I offer to be completely available to help
and support the Planning Board with a permanent resolution to the issues of soil
erosion, drainage, runoff, pollution, etc. I plan to engage an equally effective land
use attorney to support the process going forward properly. Having Doeskin II
immediately adjascent to my lot line means I see it every day, and do not have to go
out of my way to take pictures. You are all welcome to visit our property (call
first) at any time to see any details of the construction for yourself. If you come
at the right time, there may even be a cold drink and a hamburger in it for you! [For
the record, the developer, his associates, and his personnel (paid or unpaid) are not
welcome on my property at any time under any circumstances unless specifically invited
in writing with times and dates of access and description of activities to be
performed.]
Our heartfelt thanks for taking this important and far-reaching step.
