I have recently cancelled my subscription to the Metro West Daily News. I was a journalism major in college and could never have imagined not being a subscriber to my local paper. But the MWDN is such a sorry excuse for a newspaper, and following several disappointing and unacceptable interactions between my church and the Wayland paper (also owned by the Herald), I will no longer financially support that company.
Thanks to this email loop and other resources, I think I am as well informed (better, actually) than when I was a subscriber.
