Exactly, this is my experience.

Probably your old script used "FileType(SaveFmtInterchange)".
With FS FdkVersion 80 or 90, this will result in MIF7 (bug or feature?).
Instead, you need SaveFmtInterchange80 (FdkVersion 80) or 
SaveFmtInterchange90 (FdkVersion 90). FS 5.1 required.
