Carolyn, This is very sad news for me also. I have used Mif2Go in the past and it has 'saved my soul' more than once.
I strongly hope that Jeremy could pass away in peace with the world and especially the FrameMaker community. I really wish him eternal life and that we will not forget his great contributions.
