But this isn't even the same construct. This is an imperative; a set of instructions: do something and then do something else. You can't put an "if" in front of this and have it make sense. So it's not the same construct as "If condition A is true, then condition B is true" (or alternately, "If condition A is true, then do B"). Totally different things. - web
