Thanks for your two cents' worth, Richard. I agree. It's likely that our vendor docs will periodically update. So given our present configuration, a page-by-page, non-batch import probably isn't feasible.

If you commit to the former, then go ahead and do as Art suggested. But if you have to repeat the entire conversion process with each vendor update, I'd say forget it.
